Jamie Hilts Memorial Scholarship

The Jamie Hilts Memorial Scholarship was established to honour the memory of Jamie Hilts, Dean of the School of Mining, Energy & Manufacturing, School of Natural Resources & Built Environment and Department of Co-operative Education.

With the help of his team, Jamie worked to ensure that students found a place in Sask Polytech’s programs. Jamie was larger than life and made a positive, lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a true inspiration, great leader, and visionary. In his 11-year career with Sask Polytech, he was instrumental in moving the organization forward and brought knowledge and expertise to many institute-wide projects. He passed away on June 25, 2022, leaving Sask Polytech a much better place than he found it.  

The Jamie Hilts Memorial Scholarship will support students enrolled in the School of Mining, Energy & Manufacturing or the School of Natural Resources & Built Environment and encourage their future success in those areas that he was most passionate.
