Regina Grey Nuns' Nurses Alumni Award
The Regina Grey Nuns’ Hospital was opened in 1907. A school of nursing was established for training nurses and the first graduates were in 1909. The last graduating class was in 1973 when the school closed and the hospital was sold and the name changed to the Pasqua Hospital. During those 64 years, there were 2873 Nurses graduated from the Regina Grey Nuns’ Hospital School of Nursing. There is still a strong alumni organization of graduates who want to encourage and support the future of nursing students and we have initiated this award to that goal.
