Nutrien School of Mining, Manufacturing and Engineering Technologies Award

Applicants must be pursuing studies in Mining, Manufacturing and Engineering Technologies, be entering any year of study, be enrolled full-time in an eligible program and not have received a Nutrien Award from a different category in the same academic year, as determined by the Award Committee. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently or have previously been employed by Nutrien.

Program designation: Aim for two recipients from EACH of the following (estimated ten awards):
•Heavy Equipment, Truck, and Transport Technician
•Industrial Mechanics
•Instrumentation Engineering Technology
•Mechanical Engineering Technology
•Mining Engineering Technology

The remaining recipients will be selected from the following programs:
•Chemical Engineering Technology
•Computer Systems Technology
•Electrical Engineering Technology
•Engineering Design and Drafting Technology
•Environmental Technology
•Geographic Information Science
•Power Engineering Technology
•Welding

Candidates must complete a statement attesting to their, leadership qualities, community involvement and passion for and/or efforts to advance agriculture, mining, manufacturing or engineering.

Academic Achievement (50% weighting). Statement attensting to leadership, community Involvement and effort to advance agriculture, mining, manufacturing or engineering (50% weighting). Preference will also be given to top performing candidates that has been previously or is currently employed by Nutrien.
