CIC Entrance Bursary for Indigenous Students

Be enrolled full-time in an eligible certificate or applied certificate program, or Year 1 (academic terms one and two) of an eligible diploma program at any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus, offered on-campus, through distance, delivery, or a combination of on-campus and distance delivery. Be of self-declared Indigenous ancestry (includes Status First Nation, non-status First Nation, Metis, or Inuit). Be a Saskatchewan resident for at least the past 12 months. Have a minimum 65% average.

Eligible programs: Auto Body Technician, Automotive Service Technician, Building Systems Technician, Business Diploma, Business Information Systems, Civil Engineering Technologies, Computer Automated Systems Technician, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Networking Technician, Computer Systems Technology, Design and Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrician, Electronic Systems Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Environmental Technology, Geographic Information Science for Resource Management, Heavy Equipment and Truck and Transport Technician, Industrial Mechanics, Innovative Manufacturing, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mining Engineering Technology, Office Administration, Power Engineering Technology, Welding

Financial Need (75% weighting). Academic Achievement (25% weighting). If there are not sufficient eligible applications, any bursary funds designated to Continuing Bursaries but not awarded, will be redirected to Entrance Bursaries for awarding.
This award is renewable. To remain eligible for the second installment of the bursary, students must continue to be enrolled in the program and have maintained a minimum 65% overall average.
