Be enrolled in one of the following programs, listed by order of preference:

- Bachelor of Construction Management (1st choice)- Year 1
- Construction trades (2nd choice) – Year 1 – include Carpentry, Electrician, Plumbing and Pipefitting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning programs.
- Engineering Technologies (3rd choice) – Year 1- include Design and Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technologies, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Systems Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mining Engineering Technology and Power Engineering Technology.
Preference to female students or students of self-declared Indigenous Ancestry. Indigenous ancestry includes Metis, Status/Treaty Indian, Non-Status Indian and Inuit.
Financial Need (50% weighting) . Academic Achievement (50% weighting).

This award is renewable and may be renewed for up to three consecutive years. To be eligible for renewal of the award, a student must:
- Be enrolled full-time in the program in which they were enrolled the previous academic year
- Have achieved a minimum grade point average of 75% in the prior year of study;
- Have met all completion requirements for the program in the prior year of study.
